Our departmental seminar on Friday, November 7 will be presented by Professor John Hole speaking on site characterization studies for the deep drilling of the San Andreas Fault. For your convenience, the department has reserved blocks of rooms at local hotels for November 7 and 8. Please join us for the Fourteenth Annual Alumni-Faculty Dinner on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. The evening will begin with a social and cash bar at 6:00 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 6:45 p.m. Dinner reservations must be received by October 24.
