The
17th annual Geosciences Student Research
Symposium (GSRS) will take
place on March 1-2, 2012. Undergraduate students and Masters and
Doctoral candidates in the Department of Geosciences will present
summaries of their research activities to members of the faculty and
fellow students, as well as to members of the general public and our
many friends and supporters in industry. This unique event showcases
the breadth and depth of research activities conducted in the
Department of Geosciences and provides an opportunity for students to
develop scientific presentation skills in an environment that promotes
active scientific dialog. Presentations will be held on Thursday, March
1st and Friday, March 2nd in Derring Hall, room 4069. Refreshments will
be available throughout the event, and an informal dinner will be
served in the Geosciences Museum following the completion of the
presentations on Friday.
