GSRS Information
GSRS a two day seminar consisting of talks given by undergraduate and graduate students within the different geoscience disciplines.
The presentations will take place in Derring 4069 over two days, March 1st and 2nd, in a format similar to professional meetings.
There will be 15 minutes allotted for each presentation: 12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions. Presentations can be made using PowerPoint, slides, or overheads. The presentation room has three screens that can be used and will have a podium with a microphone. Typically, speakers use PowerPoint and only 1 or 2 of the screens.
Audience members will include faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, visitors from other departments as well as professionals.
There will be evaluation
sheets available both during the symposium and on this website to give the speakers
feedback. Please, fill them out! This will only help the speaker and prepare
them for future professional presentations.
